The route

Paolo Lucci was born in Castiglion Fiorentino on March 31, 1993 and grew up in the motorcycling environment from an early age, a magical place for him, so much so that he was already on the track at the age of 13.

Experimenting with countless motorcycles, he immediately developed the dream of turning that passion into a profession.

He began his career in motocross, then spent a few years in enduro and arrived in 2019, when he managed to enter the world of rallying.

He began his apprenticeship in the desert and in his first rally (Panafrica Rally) he finished 5th overall. Something started there and in 2020 he took part in the Africa Eco Race and with 3 stage wins he unexpectedly finished 3rd, then a technical penalty made him slip to 4th overall.

From there begins his true journey towards his greatest dream: the Dakar.

In 2021 he started with the Rally Andalusia up to the World Championship in Morocco, where he ranked best rookie and managed to win the entry to the most important off-road race in the world.

Since that first participation, within 4 years Paolo has taken part in 4 Dakars and numerous World Championship races, currently becoming the best Italian desert Rally Raid driver and one of the most promising youngsters in the world of rally raid, but for Paolo this is only the beginning of his project.

Year 2023

12 days of racing and 8,000 km to cross the whole of Saudi Arabia with the best riders in the world.

Paolo starts quietly and without taking risks, day after day, remaining constantly at the top. fifteen positions overall, the first of the Italians to fight among the best GP drivers.

He finished his second Dakar overall in 15th place overall and 2nd place in the Rally2 category.

A result that is only the confirmation of Paolo's talent and hard work in these years. From there he begins his first year of the World Rally Championship starting from the Dakar and continuing in Abu Dhabi, Mexico, Argentina and then with the epilogue of the Championship in Morocco.

Paolo, despite 2 injuries and the failure to score points for failing to finish the race in Argentina, wins numerous stages during the 2023 season, climbs onto the podium of the overall race 4 times out of 5 and finally concludes the 2023 season as vice world champion in Rally2, in his first year of participation in the World Rally Championship.
